Let's say your URL is
https://yourwebsite.com/?utm_source=active_users&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=feature_launch&utm_content=bottom_octa_button
In this example, you have 4 UTM parameters that you would like to capture. Therefore you will be adding 4 custom fields.
Go to Settings of your chatbot, then click on Data Collection. Click on add custom field button and provide the parameters as custom fields.
Once these UTM parameters are defined in the custom fields, the chatbot will be able to pick it up and send it along with the rest of the conversation that the user has with the chatbot. You will be able to see these UTM parameters in the Response section as well as in the email notifications, and in the webhook.
Note
This method will only work when the chatbot is used in widget mode.
